About
Echelon Advisory Group
A small advisory practice focused on one thing: helping defense contractors get ready for CMMC without the process becoming overwhelming.
Most small contractors do not have a compliance department. They have an owner, an operations lead, and maybe an outside IT provider, and a contract that suddenly references requirements no one on the team has read in full. Echelon exists to close that gap. We translate the CMMC and NIST SP 800-171 requirements into plain language, identify what your organization already does well, and lay out a realistic path for the rest.
The work is deliberately practical. You get a clear picture of where you stand, documentation that reflects how your business actually operates, and preparation that makes assessment day predictable.
Echelon is a small, local practice. We are based on the Gulf Coast, we work on-site within the corridor when that is useful, we keep engagements fixed in scope, and we do not resell software or add on products you do not need.
Founder
Echelon Advisory Group was founded by Joel Clark, a CMMC Registered Practitioner (CPN 73205) with 21 years in public-sector operations. That background is built on running real operations under formal rules and audits, which is the same discipline CMMC asks of a contractor: write down what you do, do what you wrote down, and be able to show it.
A Registered Practitioner is an individual authorized through the Cyber AB ecosystem to provide CMMC consulting and advisory services. It is an advisory role. It does not carry authority to certify an organization, and Echelon does not perform certification assessments.
Have a contract with CMMC language?
Send it over with a short note about your environment and we will tell you what applies and where a sensible first step would be.
